Help bring poultry back to the quinta
Aside from the repairs necessary to the poultry enclosure after the fires and the last fox raid, we want to build a deep litter system to supercharge the compost-making capabilities of the quinta’s poultry and give them more protection from predators.
There are a wide range of birds and mammals in Portugal who like nothing more than to eat chickens and keeping them has always involved losses. We want to try to minimise the possibilities before we restock our flock.
